what should i do?
format the harddisk? or what...

COPIER > FUNCTION > SYSTEM > HD-CLEAR

Are you talking about scanning as in copying or scanning to a shared folder?

Does it print reports like the user data lists

I would check connections on the main controller, reseat the connections

I just re-read your post and something occurred to me. You may have a fuser issue, if you are copying on smaller pieces of paper, like legal, or letter-r or smaller, the front and rear of the fuser roller may be getting too hot, and the copier is using idle rotation of fuser to bring temperature back down to normal range.
