If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself
As Zoraldinho suggested, it is probably related to your print driver. The older versions of UFRII caused this on color ir's. Try using PCL5e, or download the latest driver from Canon.
Another thing to check is in Additional functions-> Printer settings-> quality/density(?). 5 is default, lower makes it darker and higher makes it lighter.
