    Canon IR 4570

    Hello,

I have a Canon IR 4570 for rent and today the customer called me that the machine showed error code 000100-0001.

The machine switches on and after you execute the start button to make a cope it shows the error, the scanner moves correctly and scan the paper and it takes the paper and jams before entering to the fusing unit and error.

I go there and i made an error clear from the service mode but he same error appeared.

    Please help!!!

Check that the grounding spring for the steel registration roller is making contact with the roller. Reformed the spring so that it made contact with the roller and the error code issue was resolved. Please see the photo below. The grounding spring is circled in red.

copier's display shows "E000100-0001" shortly after pressing the "Copy/Start" key.
error code can be caused by a loose or unplugged BD PCB cable.
Remove the Middle Left Panel and check the 3-wire purple harness to the right of the Laser Assembly as shown below
          bd.jpg

Check right side door laser mechanism
          Leaf Spring = FU6-2009-000
          Slider = FC5-1540-000
          Switch Pressure Block = FC5-1541-000

            Hello Teckat,

            Thank you for your help.

I have checked the contact with the roller and it seems it is ok.

Please can you specify where is the unplugged cable located exactly in what pcb?

the laser shutter could cause this
The shutter is opened/closed when you open and close the R/H door
And is located under the laser unit
It might of come of the rails, where is runs along

I also had one machine that the cable from the door mech had snapped, thus not opening/closing the shutter

              Might be worth checking out

              Good luck

                  Hello Teckat,

I have the same problem with Canon IR 4570,
This four days it made this kind of problem, when you make copies the copies where blank i tried to increase the brightness and then the copies where very light a little.
What i did is i opened the left cover and unplugged the Laser Unit and after i turned the machine back on the copies where fine.
But still was this problem of white copies day per day till know that showed the error code E000100-0001
I again pulled out the Laser Assembly and put back on and everything goes ok.
But it makes me this error time by time.

Please can you help to resolve this problem??

You made copies with the Laser Unplugged ?????
I don't think you unplugged the Lased connector-

u need to check the right side door control switch position

E100- BD interval error is outside a specific range= Beam Detect Sensor
                          U have choices
                          1.Replace the laser unit
                          2.Replace the DC controller PCB.
                          3.Check the wiring.
                          4.BD PCB

The laser exposure system is primarily controlled by the DC controller PCB
The BD sensor of the BD PCB receives light from laser A only, and is free of light from laser B, i.e., the BD signal is generated based on the light from laser A.

BD mirror -Reflects laser light in the direction of the BD PCB.
BD PCB -Generates the BD signal.

                          Controlling the Laser Shutter
When the right door is opened, the laser shutter link operating in conjunction with the cover causes the laser shutter to move down, thus blocking the path of the laser light.

If the machine identifies the front cover or the right door as having been opened, it will turn off the laser scanner motor and the laser output.
this is why u need to check that door mechanism

If the shutter mechanism is okay, reseat connectors at d-con..probably needs a laser..i've had to replace a few

I have seen the machine but should the copier tell me that is a door open?mybe the door mechanism is defective thus blocking the laser mechanism?
