c2880 fax to e-mail redirects?

Hello everyone and thanks for a great forum. I have been reading and learning a lot and finally have a question I can't find the answer to.

In our small company, we have a Canon C2880. I have been able to get the scans to go to individual user folders on the server and now I am trying to do something similar with incoming faxes. I have been trying to figure out the fax inboxes but they appear to be only for manually forwarding the faxes once they are received. Is there a way to do this manually? Can you give someone an 'extension' and have a received fax go directly to a networked folder or to a person's e-mail? This would be extremely helpful if it was possible.

BTW - We have the Super G3 FAX Board-W1 installed. Not sure if that makes difference.

Hit the "smarthead" (* key) and look for the forward tab. can't remember excactly were it is in there but its not to hard to find. once you find it, its easy to set up from there. Just make sure you have turn it on when you pick ur email to forward the faxes on to.

I'll give it a go. Looks pretty complicated just from glancing over that manual. Maybe when I am at the copier it will be more clear.

BTW - I made a mistake in the first post but ya'll probably realized it. What I should have said is that I am trying to make faxes automatically forward to a destination, not manually forward.
