E840 - 0001 is a shutter error. Check the connection of the connector of the shutter motor and the shutter HP sensor.

1 .Check the connection of the connector of the shutter motor and the shutter HP sensor .
2 .Check the mounting of the pin used to match the shutter gear phase of the fixing unit
( see descriptions under “point to Note when Mounting the fixing roller”)

        3. Replace the shutter HP sensor and the shutter motor.

Your shutter is item number 15 and sits on top of the holder unit #37. I would suggest acquiring a manual for this device. You are gonig to need it.

Definitely get a manual. If you put the shutter assembly back together and its not properly syncronized..."snap,crackle pop...get some gears"
