Used as a stand alone after switch was pressed from Energy saver (sleep mode ) and instead of a "Ready" it has error code on display panel of "77" What does this mean and is the a reset for this? Thanks,Steve

I don't really know the error code definition, but i have a similiar problem once to my canon lasershot MF4350d having an error code after Energy saver (sleep mode) also. I could not figure out the code and i tried having the MF switched off and before switching on the power i had the cartridge pulled out, paper removed from the tray, plus opening the back cover and had it switched on, still while on init... i installed the cartridge, papers, and closed the back cover. Also had the stop/reset button pressed down for 10secs.
I don't know if it might help but it worked for me.
