    [Error Code] IR 3300, E602-0001 Hard Code

    Cannot access *,2,8,* service mode. Reseated HDD connector. The HDD is a Toshiba laptop 2.5" 20GB drive (HDD 2187). Can I buy an HDD on the open market and make it work? What is the replacement formatting procedure? Any help greatly appreciated

      The easiest way to replace the hard drive is get the same model as is installed in the copier now, used to be MK2023GAS. You will need service support tool, and system software for the 3300. Formatting and system software loading are done by the service support tool.

          "E602-0001 A mounting fault of the HDD is detected the BOOT ROM.
          0002 A data read fault of the HDD is detected the BOOT ROM.
          Main cause The wiring is faulty (short circuit,
          main controller PCB is faulty."

          Providing that you have the aforementioned SST. Hold down 2+8 as you switch the device on. With SST connected using a CAT5e crossover cable via a PC. May be worth setting your PC IP config to static 172.16.1.99/255.255.255.0. Flash the latest firmware across before you do anything else. This will also let you reformat the HDD.

          Try connecting the HDD to an existing PC before you buy a new one. If the PC mounts the drive successfully, you'll know that the HDD is not at fault. I've had the most success mounting Canon HDD's under Linux.

          Ultimatly you may have to buy a new main board.

              make sure ur hardisk match the list at format.ini and usually i will connect it to computer first to format make sure its not faulty then plug it back to machine and do SST download procedure. Will always connect the hardisk to computer and format whenever the code e602 appear. Once the computer cannot detect or cant format the hardisk then u will need to change a new one.

                  Problem Solved! I asn't able to legally obtain sw & fw for this model with our current reseller status but I found a guy to send me a preloaded HDD and it fixed it right up. Thanks to all for your excellent replies.

                          Hi Hi Ihave the same problem, can you help me? I need the HDD preloaded for Canon IR3300.
