    IRC Advance 5030 USB Printing

Just like to ask if this IRA c5030 can print files from USB Flash Drive. Or there is a need for option kits to this?

If I remember correctly, Direct printing of PDF's and JPEG's is possible if the PostScript license is installed.

Cheaper to buy the Direct Print License if u only want to print PDF, TIFF ,JPEG from stick.
PS license is dearer but also gives u alleged PS printing from PC too.

Ok, so it's cheaper to buy the Direct Print kit. I don't know about the prices (fortunately I'm not a salesman!). We have a few customers who really wanted to print from USB, and the salesman has sold them the PS kit.

For just printing from USB media you put in at the right side of the control panel you don't need any kit. You only have to switch USB on in usermode. This mode is default switch off

Go to preferences -> display settings -> Store loaction display settinge -> memorymedia -> switch USB to on

this enables the end user to print from the USB stick but only certain media types are supported unless you install the PS kit or direct print kit. The unit should print JPEG and TIFF file formats out of the box. You get PDF with the PS kit and you should get PDF & XPS files with the direct print kit.

This is partially correct. Out of the box and with USB enabled you can print from and scan to USB with the formats TIFF, JPEG AND also PDF.
For XPS you need the optional Direct Print Kit

"Correction" : Above is for the i-models. charm5496 is right for non i-models.
