Hi,
I only know about the canon one.You have to go into the service mode and check the light intensity setting,it may have been bumped up to compensate for the older drum.The code is*28*(yu hold 2and 8 together.If the display goes to [1],yu are in service mode.Then hit 3 then hit start button.301 should appear.Type 302,hit start.It should display a number between 250 to 500 I think.The lower the number the lighter the copies.Change the numbers as requires and hit A again to store.reset out of service mode and test.Good luck
