How do I reset the waste toner error code on IR 550?

My machine shut down due to the toner waste bin was full and the sensor which should have warned of the impending overflow was dislodged.

The error code E013 - waste toner drive problem, or waste toner sensor switch has been actuated too many times - shut down the print run.

I have emptied the bin and reattached the sensor in position. Now when I try to start up I can't even get to a start mode to selected additional functions, the code just appears first before I can try anything to reset it.

Maybe I have to take the back cover off and replace the waste toner drive? It likely ran on and on as the sensor switch out of place. I did hear a ticking at the back of the unit before this happened.

    Ideas, solutions?

Might have to remove the drive and clean out the tube and confirm that the auger is functioning
Pretty common problem on these its a messy job but thats what we do better than fixing shitters but doesn't pay as well LMAO

      Waste toner feedscrew (locked)
      1) Is the waste toner feedscrew drive gear pushing the waste toner
      feedscrew lock detecting switch (MSW2)?
      YES: Connect the connector.
Waste toner feedscrew lock detecting switch (MSW2), DC controller PCB
      2) Make the following selections in service mode: COPIER>I/O>DCCON.
      Is bit 15 of IO-P02 ‘0’?
YES: It is likely that the feedscrew inside the waste toner pipe is prevented
from rotating because of some fault. If the outlet of the
waste toner pipe is clogged with toner, remove the waste toner
drive unit, and remove the toner. If otherwise, try turning the main
motor clockwise by hand. If the screw rotates, wait and see what
happens; if the screw does not rotate, replace the waste toner feeding
      unit.
NO: Check the wiring; if normal, replace the DC controller PCB.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Well, this'll learn me! Guess when I hear an unfamiliar clicking sound I should check it out. Cleaned out the tube, the auger still didn't turn, hmmm, auger screwed, guess the motor maybe now too. Good thing for a spare machine.

Any way to easily check to see if the drive is okay2.jpg before I install the new auger?

Well, we're all back together, changed drive motor too, just in case it had failed attempting to turn the auger, 'nother pic3.jpg

However, the same code comes up as soon as I turn on the power.

So back to the beginning question, after I repaired the probs, how do I clear the error code?

                  In service mode:

                  copier>function>clear>error
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Thank you my friend! I got it cleared now. Took fifteen attempts to get into service mode. I had to be quick on the switch to catch it before the machine just jumped to stop with the error code again.

I am printing again! It's like christmas, now to wash for turkey.
