    Universal Send kit P-1 problems

    Hi Guys!
    I need a little help.
At my customer there is a IR3225 at the implamenting / installation, a trial or demo version of the Universal Send kit was installed. It allows the user to use this send fucntion for 100 sending.
We've ordered the Universal send kit and I installed as the manual required and followed the instrucions.
So Cannon.com/lms/license then give the license code and gave the serial number and got the activation serial.
I activited on the asset then rebooted the copier. then the worst came; The trial version was out of service ( 101th was dennied) eventhough If I tried to activate the send kit again ( maybe forgot to do something) it said it is activated ))
so I've got a machine which has got an activated universal send kit and out of used trial send kit....and the result , i can not use the send function.
    What is the problem?
Maybe the trial should be unactivate? how?
    Thank you in advance!
    Cheers!
    Norbert

Call CANON tech support,,, is my suggestion, they may have to back out the license on their end and reissue a different license number... You would need to call them from onsite, as they will more than likely need the license transfer number you generate in Level 2 of service Mode.

I agree - call Canon. Sounds strange. In the past, our trial versions just stop working (no deactivation required). Then we enter the LMS code in and it all works. Seems to me it may have been a code for a different machine (as in serial number). Like he said though, Canon can talk you through how to back it out - will take a bit of talking though.

The new LMS code over rides the trial , even if it was used only once.
Did u follow all instructions ??

If u did not order that kit from Canon
u are up the creek with a paddle

There are many bogus/used kits that are being peddled online

u need to call CANON , with all the info to see if Kit is Legit

Yes I followed every instructions and the machine shows it it is activated.
And I can't activate again cause it tells me it has been activated already. So....

What is the full name of the Kit u used ??
What happens when u hit SEND TAB ??
Even if u want to remove it/or want to transfer it/or Repair it=
              U MUST CALL CANON
If it is a bootleg copy > don't waste your YOUR time

When transferring your key from one copier to another, you must make sure to disable the License Key on the imageRUNNER you are transferring from.
The copier will then generate a transfer key number.
You will need this number when you call the Technical Support Center to transfer the license. Please follow the procedure outlined below:
              1. Enter into Service Mode on the copier (hit Additional Functions, then 2 and 8, then Additional Functions).
              2. Enter Level 2 in Service Mode (hit Additional Functions, then 2).
              3. Press Copier.
              4. Select Option.
              5. Choose LCNS-TR.
              6. Set the appropriate kit option to 0 (ex. for Universal Send Kit, set ST-Send to 0). Hit OK.
              7. Write down Transfer License Key (ex. TR-Send) generated by the copier under this setting.
              8. Call the Technical Support Center with the device serial numbers and the Transfer License Key.
              * Make sure you have this number (Transfer License Key) handy when calling the TSC.

This number must be provided to ensure that the License was indeed canceled on the imageRUNNER.
              Contacting the Technical Support Center:
Contact the Technical Support Center at 1-800-528-2830 to transfer a license from one device to another. You will be required to have the following information:
              1. The serial number of the old device.
              2. The serial number of the new device. (Verify that this serial number exists in your dealer inventory).
              3. The Transfer Key number. To get the Transfer Key number, you will have to disable the license on the old device (see above).
              4. Have the original LAN number

You only need to call the Technical Support Center to transfer the license from one machine to another machine. You do not need to call the Technical Support Center to disable the license on a given machine.

Simply follow the procedure above to disable the license on your device.

Write down the resulting Transfer Key Number and the serial number of the device that you disabled the license on.

Also write down the License Access Number for the kit. Keep this information in a safe place. When you have the serial number for the new device that you want to transfer the kit to, then call the Technical Support Center with all of the above required information. The Technical Support Center staff can then transfer the license in the LMS system and generate a new license key number for your new device.

If there are activation or installation problems contact the Canon Technical Support Center.
Be prepared to provide the product serial number, license access number, and license key.
                Note:
                - The software is pre-installed on the imageRUNNER device, only a valid
license key will enable the software feature
                (no additional packaged
                software is available or required).
-The license access number is packaged with the purchased software
option. Lost license access will not be replaced.
-The imageRUNNER device serial number can be found in the โ€œcounter
                checkโ€ screen.
-Activated software programs will not be impacted by normal service
                activity (e.g., HDD replacement).

Transfereing Ir series universal send licesnse

Teckat, in the procedure to transfer license from one machine to another, the transfer key must be generated by the old old machine that originally had the license. What if the old machine is not able to generate that due to malfunction/water damage etc, but all the other info is available, LAN, serial number and actual license etc.??

Teckat, that number works for "Canon service partners" only. If you aren't then you gotta call one of those, "Authorized Canon Dealer"!! I was trying to get by without doing that. I'm a ISO.

                            Zoolanderhu is from Hungary.
If he has problems he have to call Canon Hungary, not a USA number, but I think he has to deactivate the trial kit, as I suggested, because it's extra functions are banned.
