Canon IR 6000 Scan feature Question:

How do I use the SCANNER feature on my IR 6000?
When I hit the Scan key it goes to "Press Online key to use scanner".
When I do that it just sits there "Waiting"
Is there some way to program this feature,
or do I need to download drivers for the scan feature?
    Thanks,
    Dana Lewis

you need to download and install network scangear on a PC. Also your 6000 needs to be connected to your network and have an IP address asigned to accomplish this.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

Color Network ScanGear is a 32-bit TWAIN-compliant scanner driver that enables computers on a network to use a Canon iR series color digital copier as a scanner.

Also you need software to get scan into computer like acrobat,irfanview....
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

if you using acrobat, choose create PDF from scanner in file tab, select network scangear(you must install network scangear first)
put your document in ADF, and press scan in your pc.

"Acrobat" is mentioned numerous times in this thread.

Keep in mind that this isn't Acrobat "Reader", but rather Acrobat Professional or Standard.

Reader can't create files, so it only makes sense that you can't scan with it.

Reader is free, while the others are most definitely not.
