Make sure the contact for the secondary transfer roller is touching the transfer roller shaft. The contact should be touching the bottom side of the shaft of the secondary transfer roller.
        1. Remove the screw and then remove the black plastic contact holder shown below.
        ir3380contact1.jpg
        2. Verify that the contact is touching the bottom side of the shaft of the secondary transfer roller as shown in the photo below. If it is not reform the contact so that it is touching the shaft.
        ir3380contact2.jpg

Ensure that the ITB ground wire is firmly attached at HVT2 and the grounding screw at the ITB frame> see below
        IMG_7404.jpg

Check the Bias Tabs on the ITB Belt assembly and the Secondary Transfer Roller. They may be bent or broken and not making contact. Repair or replace the contact that is broken.
        new3380.jpg

Make sure transfer lid of ITB Assembly is locked in and engaging correctly. Also check that the Developer Assemblies are locked into position. The machine may not display any errors codes for either assembly even though they are not installed properly.

Run a PG10 / STOP PRINTER HALF WAY TO CHECK IMAGE ON ITB

if black is missing on ITB SHEET / could be a clutch developer issue
if u see black- it is a transfer issue

The Paper Full Sensor Flag on the lower exit is missing, thats why the warning come out.
Just put some black tape on the Paper Full sensor PS15 to block the LED, fixed.

just for points i did say this back on post 4 - also lack of black has to be drum clutch ...........(you have 4 so you can swap and test)

It looks like my reply went to the wrong topic, but I can advise about the missing black colour.
Check the connectors to the Black Drum, they are the primary charging and the developing bias, maybe it is bent, if these two do not connect to the drum unit then that colour is missing.
Also check the primary transfer roller in the intermediate transfer belt

Just put some black tape on the Paper full sensor PS15 to block the LED because the sensor flag is missing.
Or you can program the machine to deliver from tray B which still have the sensor flag.

Re: canon IRC3380i, remove paper from output tray.....Help!!!

I tried to sent private message to user spectraindo, but I am not sure that the PM come out (I do not see it in Sent items).

I need to set the paper path B for Canon IRC2880i in service mode, but I do not know how? Do you have any idea where in service mode I can set it? (I think it is the same as in IRC3380i).

Thank you very much for your help.

Those are set in user mode...Not Service.

Look under Additional Functions>Common Settings>Tray Designation.

If you want to use the extra tray to the right of machine (One cover has to be removed and you need an additional tray)
                            you can set COPIER>OPTION>ACC >OUT-TRAY to "1"

                            /KingKogo

OK, but this extra tray is not at the copier. I try to put black tape on PS15 sensor, and when it will not work I make the paper path B.

Re: canon IRC3380i, remove paper from output tray.....Help!!!

Please I have next questions for Canon IRC2880i:

There is only Buffer Path Unit-E2 installed, but no Finisher Y1 or Saddle Finisher Y2:

1.) Do you think, when there is only Buffer Path Unit-E2 installed, that the delivery output tray will delivery paper to this Buffer Path Unit-E2? When yes, the paper can not move to Finishers, because no Finisher is installed (and the sensor PS15 relates with this paper path). Or the paper come out to the top of Buffer Path Unit-E2 ??? (I know there are two delivery output tray. Now I mean the delivery output tray which relates with this).

2.) When yes, how could I disable in service menu this Buffer Path Unit-E2 ??? I will remove it from machine. (Because when I unplug the connector from Buffer Path Unit-E2, turn ON machine: it gives ERROR - I forgot the number of error).

                                Many thanx for your help!
