Canon IR3300 Fax Setting Help

I have 2 questions about Fax Setting of Canon IR3300. Please help me.

Where can I set the ring volumn when I recieve Fax? Because right now the copier doesn't ring when the Fax come in.

One of my client like to recieved Fax by using a WinFax in the computer. So they can store the Fax and only print out which ever they need. And they still want to use the Fax option on this copier to send out. It's there a way to turn off the incomming Fax in this copier?

I have config fax to recieve by fax software before most will require you to turn off the auto recieve for the incoming fax but for IR 3300 you may just want to increase the number of ring. ( Winfax pro is usually set to 2 ring) you can set IR 3300 to Five ring this will ensure that the win fax will recieve the imcoming fax before IR 3300. Where to set
1 select additional function then press 2 and 8 together then additional function again. This is to entry the mc mode.
2 Select Fax
3 Select Auto RX
4 select 07 the change it to 05( defualt is 2)
you have set the ring to 5
exit the mc mode
restart you copier.

for the monitor tone
go to additional function
communiction setting
fax setting
the icon will guide you from there

hi!! my question to u is are your customer using any external or internal modem on their PC? if not how to control incoming fax if 'yes' then u can control all incoming fax to pc and at the same time you can also use the IR3300 as outgoing fax.how? e-mail me i will teach u in detail..zaqmzm@yahoo.com.sg.

i dun receive your mail anyway the steps you need to do is to link the main phone line to the internal modem RJ11 line socket and the phone line in internal modem your connect to the copier RJ11 socket thats make the main fax line go to pc first and control all incoming fax..so u need 2 phone cable to do this..regards..

Hello zkafs, I did email to you by zaqmzm@yahoo.com But don't know why it not go through.
Anyway, I see the way you setup and I will give it a try. I just wonder if the Fax on copier set with 2 rings and also the WinFax in PC set with 2 rings then what happen? You said the PC will control all incoming Fax, do I have to set some thing in WinFax or it automatic take control. Also, if the PC is shut down, can you still use the Fax on Copier?

yess!! it does bro!! i have setup so many yet not a single problem arise when the computer is shut down the fax will go to the copier automatically.what u need to do is to follow christan advice to setup up the copier ring tone to 3 or 5 times just to play safe and the winfax leave it to2 rings thats should do the trick...trust me.c ya..zaq.

Just had the same problem ans used your instruction - I knew it was under
Fax Ncu Auto RX but not which value - Ta mate
