    [Misc] Canon GP225

    Hi Guys,

I have an issue with a canon GP225 that is printing blank copies. I have added toner and changed the drum with no joy. Is it a possible hv issue? I have not got any previous experience with this machine as I normally work on Konica's.

ANY Help will be most appreciated.

Blank copies could be generated if the Developer Drive Clutch is defective
remove the developer assembly and check to see if a portion of the cylinder is missing toner

      are prints also blank ?

So as jayP said check the dev unit is in engaged with the drum, the dev handle should be level.
I like this answer,,, seen it many times. The blue developer lever should point to the 9 o'clock position,,, or at the drum if you prefer... ;-)

Also if the transport gets slapped down hard when they are clearing jams, the transfer roller can pop right out of the transfer assembly, causing light/blank copies, and usually also jamming...

Thanks for the tips so far, but no joy.

The plate that moves the dev unit is fully engaging on the drum and as far as i can tell its all turning. The dev lever is at the 9 o'clock position and the machine thankfully is not jamming. At the moment I have only attempted copying from the glass. The lamp is firing and moving to scan the image. Does anyone have a service manual / wiring diagrams?

          Thanks

Easy way to see if clutch is driving the developer, use a clean rag to wipe an area clean on the developer mag roller, put back in place, make a copy, and then pull developer forward again and see if the clean area is still there, or if it has been re-coated with toner.
