1025 if pcl kit

    [Misc] 1025 if pcl kit

    installed a pcl kit on a new install-cannot ping m/c. spec report claims bit 03: pcl "off"/"on"
    additional memory has been installed, recognized. no print,rui, or even ping.
    version numbers are good. Any suggestions ?

      iR1025 Series machines use the PCL Printer Kit-AB1

      is this the kit u used ???

      You need to update the firmware to support the PCL board. Simply installing the ROM does not enable the PCL function. The firmware is part of the system software for the iR1025, you just need to select the firmware for PCL32M (ALL_32M_NPK_AB1), OR you can just flash the PCL (PCL folder: XXxxv1001).

          Thanks, I'll try that. I was able to print using a crossover cable-bypassing the network at the site, using the pcl5 driver. I'm not sure exactly if this is a machine set up, or network. I'm thinking if a xover and a laptop works, then it might be the network. Thanks!
