It is related to the Serial Number PCB. Please check J1023 on the Main Controller to see if the PCB connector is loose. If you have recently replaced the Main Controller, retrace your steps and put anything back you may have forgotten or swapped. If the board has failed, good luck. You will have to go back to Canon and plead your case to get a replacement and I would guess it is not cheap. Let us know how you make out.

you have to replaced both serial#pcb and counter pcb... the error couse the mackine has achieving his maximum copy.....
