    C4080 color misregistration

I have a C4080 with color misregistration and want a second opinion.

It's only with 11x17 (or 12x18) and then it's usually just on the last half of the page. The 1st half of an 11x17 TP10 will look fine, but gradually shows more white toward the trail edge. It's intermittent with regular 11x17 but just about every copy with heavier stock (60lb) 11x17. It happens from the manual feed as well as the drawers. A new transfer roller, ITB belt + cleaning blade made no difference.

I'm assuming there is something putting drag on the paper as it is going through the transfer roller so I ordered both the motors in the feeder assy. The tx roll turns freely, and so do the rest of the rollers. I just wondered if anyone else ran into this or has any suggestions.

Increase the fixing speed for heavy media with service mode level 2 COPIER>OPTION>BODY>FX-SPEED2 (the larger the value the faster the fixing speed).

in v79.01 and up u have these added adjustments
SERVICE MODE (Level 2) > COPIER > OPTION > BODY
REG-SPD2:Fine adjustment (thick paper) of the Registration Roller speed”.
Execute the fine adjustment of Registration Roller speed in this mode to improve:
      - Front to Rear Trail Edge Blur (approximately 120mm from the trail edge) that may appear on the
image due to the paper tension or paper arch between the Registration Roller and the Secondary Transfer Roller.
      - The second side of a printed or copied document has shifted out of specification (2.5 +/- 2.0mm leading edge margin on the 2nd side).
Use this mode when adjusting the process speed for “Thick” paper.
      Setting values
      - 5 to + 5
      - Default (factory) setting/ value after RAM clear: 0
Increasing (decreasing) the setting value by ""1"" accelerate (decelerate) the delivery speed of the roller by ""0.5%"". (Example: Changing the value from 0 to - 2 decelerate the speed by 1.0 %.)

SERVICE MODE (Level 2) > COPIER > OPTION > BODY

REG-SPD: "Fine adjustment (Plain paper) of the Registration Roller speed”.
Execute the fine adjustment of Registration Roller speed in this mode to improve:

      - The second side of a printed or copied document has shifted out of specification (2.5 +/- 2.0mm
leading edge margin on the 2nd side).
Use this mode when adjusting the process speed for plain paper.

""0.5%"". (Example: Changing the value from 0 to - 2 decelerate the speed by 1.0 %.)

REG-SPD3: "Fine adjustment (Transparency/Glossy paper) of the registration roller speed.
Execute the fine adjustment of Registration Roller speed in this mode to improve:
      - Front to Rear Trail Edge Blur (approximately 120mm from the trail edge) that may appear on the image due to the paper tension or paper arch between the Registration Roller and the Secondary Transfer Roller.

      ALSO ++++
      In Level 2

      COPIER>FUNCTION>LASER

      LD-ADJ-Y/M/C =
Making the tilt correction motor return to the initial position automatically.

      Operating Instructions
      1) Select this mode.
      2) Press the OK key.
      - The operation starts. It automatically stops when it is completed.
      Reference:
The tilt correction motor may get locked when the tilt amount in the horizontal scanning direction exceeds the expected range, and consequently color displacement cannot be corrected even though automatic registration is conducted.
When this symptom occurs, use this mode to make the tilt correction motor return to the center position automatically.
(If you try to do this operation manually by opening the scanner unit, you may touch the lens. For this reason, be sure to do it by the automatic operation.)
This Service Mode is used to correct the tilt of Y, M, and C against BK, which is used as a reference, when the tilt is large (when the horizontal lines are higher at the right).

remember that setting slows down print speed productivity
on Heavy stock from 20 cpm to about 13cpm
