    Canon image runner c2880i Won't scan, help please

    We have an image runner that seems to stop working on weekends when we try to scan and email. Works during the week and then doesn't work on weekends. Everything else works. Is there some setting that might be causing this. I appreciate any input anyone might have.

    That doesn't make any sense. It either scans or it doesn't. You must have some security issue on you email settings somewhere where it won't allow any emails to be sent on the weekends.

      It scans the document and then says converting, then goes to resending. It doesn't send and it shows an error on the confirmation page. Stumped. Last weekend it just started working again.

        Exactly Catgoldfish's point.

        There is something on the email server that's preventing scans from going through on the weekends.

        Most network OSes (Windows Servers, NetWare, etc...) have configurable login restrictions that can be set.

        Keep in mind that while perceived as a nuisance, these are security measures for everyone's benefit.

        You may want to check with whoever is in charge in your IT department.
