canon irac 5045I will not see usb stick

i have a problem with one irac5045i that refuses to show a usb stick plugged into the side for multi media memory.

if you click on access stored files (top right of screen)

you then get four boxes one of which is

    MEMORY MEDIA

i click on that then insert the usb stick and it just stays blank ,have tried other usb sticks.

i have gone into user settings > preferences >display settings>store location settings and memory media is turned on.

i have also go into service mode level 2 and turned on all the usb options that i can see

    machine has below options

    direct print for pdf
    pcl
    ps

its so strange as its the only machine we have that does not show a usb stick when inserted.

    any ideas would be usefull

That is correct. If you turn on the Meap for USB it blocks your memory media functionality.
