    [Misc] Clc1180 skewing on cardstock

I HAVE TWO CLC1180'S AND BOTH ARE SKEWING ON CARDSTOCK. WHAT IS WORN OUT AND NEEDING REPLACED TO FIX THIS. Or is there a setting of some kind I need to adjust.

The picture is of the machine that is the worst. The other one will actually complete the copy, but the image is skewed when it comes out, and the amount of skew varies.

the picture is how it looks after it jams and I open up the machine. It happens right away, not even one revolution. Not very thick cardstock either (65lb vellum bristol or 90lb index is what we run and it has worked very well for years)

Very frustrating because paper works just fine.

    Thank you for your assistance

Replace HVT Cable (FH2-9069-060); this is the transfer / attraction / static hvt cable that mounts in the rear of the transfer drum assembly. The attraction hvt cable can have internal breaks and at the internal connection. The cable can wear over time to create this and transfer problems.

Remove the top SEPARATION CORONA ASSEMBLY , that sits over Trans Drum, throw it in the garbage.

          Service mode
          (COPIER> ADJUST>HVATT;
          attraction high-voltage output adjustment mode)

          Increase the setting of ATT-xx
shown below according to the type of paper for which the problem occurs.
          Settings: -5 to +5
ATT-T1=thick paper; in single-sided copying mode or
when copying on the 1st side of a double-sided copy
ATT-T2=thick paper; when copying on the 2nd side of a
          double-sided copy
          ATT-OHP=when copying on a transparency
ATT-S1=when copying on special paper 1
ATT-S2=when copying on special paper 2

          Service mode

Make sure that your stack bypass tray is centered correctly. When running cardstock from the SB it can become shifted to the front or back over time causing the paper to catch on the horizontal feed path guides and cause skewing and dog earing. You can also try running a sheet or two in the LTR-R direction to see if you get skewing on it as well.

Check your reg roller to make sure it is moving freely and your attraction and registration clutches are in good shape as well.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
