You need to discover the copier in the Network Scan Gear tool, or directly set the IP of the copier in that window. Once that has been done, the software will now communicate with the copier. Touch SCAN on the copier op panel, and select Online. Place your documents in the feeder and initiate the scanning.

Also you may be under the impression that Network Scan Gear is a scanning software. It is not, it only acts as a driver, you will need some piece of software to initiate the scanning like Acrobat, or Nitro PDF Professional, or any other software that can "import" data...

go to the scanner tab at the top of your control panel and choose "online" if you do not have a scanner tab then you neeed to go into service mode and turn it back on.
      COPIER>OPTION>USER>NW-SCAN
      • Set to "1" to enable the scan tab.
      • Set to "0" to disable the scan tab.

Have you restarted after making the change? Most changes only show up after a reboot.
