    [Misc] leonard garcia

I have a Canon IR 2270 that is giving me a resending message everytime I scan to email.
I have checked the network and every setting is OK.
I need to print out a send report for the error messages.
Can anyone refresh my memory as to where I can find these?
    Email: rosary87@gmail.com
    Phone: 956-498-7737
    Thanks

Bottom of the op panel screen, select Monitor, select Send, select Log, and you should find a Print Log button...
"Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"

I checked the log on the send part and on the faxes it says OK but on the scan to email all it shows is NG, no error number.
      Any suggestions?

Go to the RUI of the device click on job status>then log under send job area. This will give you a list of all errors that have occured when trying to use the send function

Set the RUI to On, under Additional Functions, System Settings, Remote UI.

Go into service mode, FAX > SSW > SW1 and set least significant bits 0 and 1(the ones all the way to the right) from 0 to 1. Then your printed list will give you the failure codes for fax and send NG's...

995 error is where the user deleted the job. You need to send a scan job and let it error out on its own

                      As necessary, start over.
How can I do that or does the email provider do that?

I found that out yesterday. Thanks. The error code I get is 752 when it errors out. I checked with the service manual and it states that the SMTP connection has failed.
I have had my IT guy check it out with another machine (lanier ld 160) and the scan to email works fine.
Is there a setting on the canon that has to match or do I have to call the email provider to give me that information for the canon IR 2270?

The imageRUNNER is capable of changing the port numbers used for sending mail using SMTP, receiving mail using SMTP, and receiving mail using POP3. These port numbers can be changed as part of system administration so that they can be placed under network control. This capability is available in the latest versions of mn-cont software.
There is no need or requirement to change these port numbers. The defaults are normally fine.

If it is necessary to change the settings to meet a user's network environment (router or firewall settings, etc), make sure to change the settings according to instructions given by the user's system administrator.

                              For the imageRUNNER 105 / 2220i / 3300i / 3320i / 5020i / 6020i / 7200 / 8500 models, perform the following steps:
                              To Change the Port Settings:

Enter Service Mode (Additional Functions, 2 and 8 simultaneously, then Additional Functions), then hit COPIER, OPTION, BODY.

                              For the imageRUNNER 105+ / 2270 / 2870 / 3570 / 4570 / 5570 / 6570 / 8070 / 9070 / 7086 / 7095 / 7105 / 3025 / 3030 / 3035 / 3045 / 5050 / 5055 / 5065 / 5075 / 3225 / 3230 / 3235 / 3245 and imageRUNNER C2620 / C3100 / C3170 / C3200 / C3220 / C5800 / C6800 / C5870 / C6870 / C3080 / C2880 / C3380 / C3480 / C4080 / C4580 / C5180 / C5185 and All imagePRESS Series models, perform the following steps:
                              1. Press Additional Functions, 2 and 8 at the same time, and then Additional Functions again.

The configurable ports will be listed as follows:
SMTPTXPN: SMTP TX Port No. (Default = 25).
SMTPRXPN: SMTP RX Port No. (Default = 25).
                              POP3PN: POP3 RX Port No. (Default = 110).
Acceptable values are 0 to 65535, in increments of 1.

                              * Note - You cannot change the SMTP port number if an imagePASS is connected to the copier.
