Today when I started it it displays E0602-0003, HDD failure. I ran a check on the disk (1 and 9 pressed at boot) and it got to download mode. I turned it off and on again but only to now have E6002-0002 instead. I did the check again but that didnt help. I understand that my next step is to reload the firmware, correct? But I dont have the SST or the firmware, could someone be a kind sole and share that with me. :-)

make sure you get the instructions on how to load and use the SST if you have never touched it before and I would recommend getting a new HDD as well. Do not use the one with E602 code again as it is probably going to fail on youAccidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned. -

I have never used SST but I am a very experienced IT specialist, I am also very good with electronics.
I have a spare HDD to use with the copier, the only thing I am missing is the SST and the firmware.Comment

I understand that you are proud over what you do and I also understand that there are a lot of things that are not the same.
If this copier i have had been at our office then i wouldn't hesitate to give one of you guys a call.
But since it is in my home and I have plenty of time to learn by doing (wrong sometimes) I would like to do this myself.
I am sure some of you understand what it is like to have a thing standing at home that you want to learn a lot about, and it is fun to explore a different field than you are used to be working with. I can't be the only one to feel like that when I have a new toy.Comment

It may not seem like it, but we can appreciate your dilemma, feel your pain, etc...
Please don't shoot the messenger, but the manufacturers which we deal with do not allow us to disseminate such software, and there are some harsh penalties for doing so.
They don't discriminate between business and home users.
If they meant for the software to be distributed, they would post it on their website.
They quite often do this for the smaller, home grade devices (such as some scanners and all-in-ones), but there are some very clear rules about business class machines, such as yours.
There are countless posts about that on this site. To say that it is a common issue would be a gross understatement.
If someone wants to be the hero and give this to you, that's between you and them.
Personally, I like my job, and want to keep it.“I think you should treat good friends like a fine wine. That’s why I keep mine locked up in the basement.” - Tim HawkinsComment
