could I have some professional input regarding acceptable contract definitions with our Canon C1+ - recently found out that the developer housings that were installed are now classified as "consumables" and was billed $1200 for the housings - since the signed contract states "consumables" not specifically naming items - I made the natural assumption that toner was not included but all service related items and tech installed items would be covered - any input from the field would be helpful - many thanks in advance

do not let tech order those dev. units
have the tech do a Starter Change
if tech refuses / find one who will
Tech can do developer changes on these units / it saves u money

Customers are more likely to have starter on hand than the Dev units that have to be ordered/ all machines that starter can be changed , customer required to have on hand -just like toner
& keeping Dev. units in stock effects inventory, no matter what the cost
customers don't have time to wait in USA for parts delivery /**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment
