canon ir2200 - scan to folder -ahhh

    Hi All

I inherited a Canon ir2200 from another office that we closed down. ANyway - got it working ef faxt to email, scan to email, printing etc BUT I cannot get scan to folder to work
I have tried via smb and ftp top no avail. What does not help is by ftp, I cannot find an exmaple to put in what fields.
In ref to using smb, I have browsed to the folder, entered my credentials and all seems ok. Scan - and get tcp/ip errors.
    Really annoying

Can anyone help - either trying to solve oor with an axample of the fields I need to fill in if I use ftp. I have put ftp on our printserver where the files are goiong to be stored.

    Many Thanks

    Scan to file

When you set up the shared folder on your server did you give "everyone" full permission under permissions and security ?

Nope. Some folders have restrictions but I put in security details of an account that has access to them all. The printer took the credentials without a wimper. Before if I put in say wrong password, it would keep asking me for right details.

I had to get assistance from Canon I.T. head .. He switched off the driver signing authentication in the server properties services .. way over my head .. but it worked ..

Thanks for the info. What about ftp setup. Has anyone the format that it should be entered in on the setup address book screen for ftp.

              Thanks
