[Misc] H1 Unit on CLC5151 shows "ffff"

Distant customer complains that H1 unit (piggy type) on the CLC5151 shows "ffff" on the RIP's display when they shoot down the RIP from the copier panel and does NOT turn off.
It can stay like that for hours, unless you turn of the switch on the machine.

Normally it should show ffff for a minute or so and than turn off.

I don't remember well, but I think Canon released some patch or smth about this.

    Anyone has an idea ?

you are going to have to reload the H1 to get it running. The latest firmware is version 2.0

the only thing else you could try is to remove the battery from the H1 motherboard to see if it will boot up that way, but since the machine is so far away from you I would just reload it. You may want to take a HDD with you as well incase it is defective.

Seeing how it's so far away (as we can all well relate!) make sure that you have the current system firmware and SST for the MFP, just in case it's not current.

The H1 version 2.0 is kinda picky about that, as it was a somewhat major update. (I had one of my techs install the version 2.0 without first updating the firmware first... it wasn't pretty). There's a tech pub on this, but who reads those, right?

Make sure you have the software patches for the H1 as well.

            H1-
FF/Code-Check external and internal connections and cables.

if u re-load H1 Firmware and issue is same- u have a bad H1 Motherboard
