    canon 3220 with image pass C1 V2.1

    Hi there
Client of mine has a 3220 and it seem the HDD is dying on it (sometimes boots sometimes doesn't) Unfortunately they do not have the system software disc for the fiery imagePass-C1. Does anyone have an ISO of this disc? Has anyone had success in ghosting this software over to another drive?
    Thanks

What HDD are u talking about 3220 or imagePass C1 ??

what are the symptoms or errors on C1 / or 3220 ??
C1 has four small DIAGNOSTIC LED lights
C2 has a two digit DIAGNOSTIC LED window

on your imagePass are there any Led's lite / or if a C2 is there a read out on window

the Firmware will not make it boot faster/
    v2.1
for certain Printing issues u may need the composite patch 1-JHC6K

if your 3220 is a Printer only model w/no Accessories attached and iPC1 v2.1 there was a patch for poor Idle state

    another issue is =
if you have a Finisher N1 connected ,a bad NI Finisher Controller board can cause RIP issues

this is the C1 DIAG CODES BELOW

    irc3200bioscode.jpg

    for a imagePass C2 =Codes are below

Yes I can see your confusion ...... the problem is with the fiery C1 and I am quite sure it is the Hdd on the FIERY

The interface connector from fiery to printer has been known to cause issues/also a bad Crossover will add to poor Communication

what do the four LED's 0-1-2-3 show ???

from working on hundreds of imagePass C1/C2"s since they first came out, I never encountered a issue to replace their HDD

most issues were either from dirty-dust filled units/poor or loose connections/memory issues/ patch updates/ very few firmware re-loads

many customers push these 3200 models with the RIP attached on back flush against the wall=
        poor circulation=poor performance on both

Well actually I have never been there when the unit would not boot. I had just talked to them on phone and had them tap the fiery. and it started right up. They said prior to tapping it there were no lights on it. I have blown the dust bunnies out of it yesterday and made sure all ram and connectors were secured. Have you ever ghosted the OS on one of these with any success?

            NO !

taping on box to start up is a cable connection issue or a interior connection issue
