Got a dr 5010 c scanner. Had a power surge, blew out all the computers on that line. Bought new computers . Installed driver for the scanner. Now the PC is not recognizing the scanner when I connect it. I have another 5010. Connected that scanner its working, the PC recognizes it. The scanner in question has power, the green light is on but still not being recognized.. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks everybody!

Green light on is a low DC voltage to panel ,it does not always mean u are receiving proper power to Boards/ especially after a power surge.
If the scanner is going through it's normal cycle when you power it on, and the power LED is steady, and Windows is seeing the scanner as an unknown device, then I think you've got a bad PCB here.
Did u try another USB cable
How is the scanner showing in Device Manager? It should be listed as an "Imaging Device" without an exclamation mark on it. If it is not listed correctly, reload the INF file.
If Power indicator is flashing on the scanner-use the service tool to troubleshoot a faulty component in the scanner.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
