    Guess It's the mystery of Canon :>]
    have seen weird issues before effect just one color on these Color boxes

    ????/ how old is the Black Drum/ do u use OEM on drums & toner

        black drum is NEW - just replaced.
        But I did try another black drum, just to eliminate the drum cause.
        I use only canon parts & consumables.

        I played a bit with secondary transfer, and I was able to recreate the "fine distinct line" just like your image.
        Than I put it back as it was. Nice trick
