Open that cover and close it using some force is quick and the costumer can do it also.
The perfect solution for a technician:
The machine detects the opening of the lower door on the left side (under the manual tray) as a cover open. There is one sensor for paper jam and cover open. If the lower right door is open, the photointerruptor is free. If you close the right lower inner door, it is blocked, and when it is closed, and there is a paper in this section the sensor is free. Sometimes the edge of lower inner door doesn't makes the sensor moving, insted of crushes up. Then a little amount of grease can help you.
