SST ERROR 145 is a timeout error/check your connections & setup

      REMEMBER________
Only one instance of the Service Support Tool should be present on a given PC.
The proper method for upgrading an old version of the Service Support Tool to a newer version of the Service Support Tool is to uninstall the old version of the Service Support Tool, reboot the PC, and then install the new version of the Service Support Tool.

u can not view the Encrypted HDFormatt.itf Files in those models

if u need to replace a HDD/ Try to find one online with same HD Model as in printer

or buy an OEM HD from Canon

thanks Teckat, that mean there is nothing i can do about it, except cloning it and then upgrade it without using HD Format.

if u succeed in cloning the HDD,
u could then update the firmware if available for said models.

              HD Format
, is used mainly on new HD's that u know will function in your model-

New HDD's need to be Formatted before installing Printer System Firmware
