    Stray lines - clc 5100

    customer has a clc 5100 with z7100.

They are trying to print a multipage, single sided, pdf file. The file was generated by their customer. Each page prints a thin, black, line that is not in the file. The line is always in the same place. Sometimes the line is solid, sometimes dashed. Not every page, not every time, but almost every time. When the job is printed as ltr-r the line rotates with the page, as though the line is part of the file. When the job is printed to a b/w printer, no line. Same file from different computer, still a line. Print as image, no line.

It seems as though problem is related to this file only, but I can not be sure.

I'm sure that by Monday AM no one will care any more, but right now I'm very curious.

    Thanks for any ideas.

believe it or not, it's in the file, and u cant' view it on your PC-

because whoever created this document on their PC or Mac -may have cut a pasted something in there-

I remember first time when I met this problem, I spend couple hours on copier and waste time for nothing.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
