    IR-3570 vonage

Customer is using vonage with dedicated fax line. The problem happens when you send out it will work if copier on hook button is used. Hope this makes sense. Any ideals?. Thanks

We just had a discussion this week about Vonage and faxing. Best advice is to avoid fax operation over VOIP. It may or may not work, whereas over standard phone line, things work well.

There are special considerations for fax communication over a VoIP circuit.
Canon fax equipment will work on any circuit that meets the specification of a voice grade line.
Make sure the circuit meets the T.38 standard.
Check out this link. Maybe it will shed some light.

Fax technology is quite robust in its nature. There a lot a things that happen when faxes are be sent and received.

        Try this:
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS-> COMMUNICATIONS SETTINGS-> FAX SETTINGS-> TX SETTINGS-> CHECK DIAL TONE BEFORE SENDING-> OFF

If that doesn't work, you may need to add a pause (p) before your number in the address book too. So it would look like this: p315 123 4567
