    C3220 registration

Have a C3220 that when you hold the original up to the copy, the top of the page lines up but then gradually shifts image to the left. Also color is blurring. We swapped out a transfer belt unit from another copier and still same problem. We also performed the DCon Clear. Any other ideas? I noticed on a previous post something about a Laser Adjustment.....could this be the issue?

Image shift is happening on color and b/w.

It could be your lasers and if you do a search on the forum about this issue there are several and the instructions on how to reset the lasers are in one of those threads.

And just because you swapped the ITB doesn't mean your ITB drive assembly isn't worn and need of new gears.

Also, this copier won't perform a Full Gradation Adj. It keeps saying to place the test page on glass properly or something like that. Does this give us an indication of something in particular?

yes your image is not properly aligned on the page. Most likely because your image is being stretched or shrunk like you were describing as it goes down the page.

This could also be from your paper not being alinged in the tray correctly. Or it could be a feed/registration issue but I doubt either one since you have an image alignment issue

Also be sure to check that the white cams that engage the ITB. Pull the ITB out and if you look in the machine there are 2 white cams one front and one rear. When you raise the blue lever behind the front cover above the waste toner bottle, those cams should cam up. Sometimes those can break, usually you can see the ITB sitting in the machine slightly uneven.
