Good to everyone,

Have these "insert waste toner container" message appear once the machine ready to copy. Have change the waste container where the window is clean and sensor as well. But still the same problem appear.

Any one have come across these problem which can share your experience with me. Thank you.

Please install the waste toner bottle is indicated after the waste toner bottle is replaced with a new one.

Solution :
The machine has the detection system for the waste toner case. This detection is executed by the waste toner case sensor (P11) prepared at the side of the waste toner sensor.
By monitoring PS11 at the time of closing the front cover, the machine judges whether the toner case is mounted on the main body or not.


The sensor PS11 is located at the auger opening that might have toner dust on it or is malfunctioning. Verify the position of the PS11 and the auger open close shutter and replace the PS11 consequently.

Problem :
"Insert the Waste Toner Container" message is displayed on the control panel. The waste toner bottle is detected by sensor PS11 and is located on the top of the waste toner auger.
There is a spring loaded sleeve with a flag around the waste toner auger. When the bottle is present it will push the sleeve thereby unblocking PS11.
When PS11 fails or is dirty, the message to insert the waste toner bottle will be displayed.



Solution :
In this instance, the sensor was dirty and this generated the message.

To clean or replace PS11 the black hopper drive assembly must be removed, the procedure for removing the hopper drive assemblies can be found on page 10-21 of the service manual.

Below is a picture of PS11 and the flag on the spring loaded sleeve.

It's a one year old issue. I suppose you've the same and couldn't solve it following the above steps.

There are two sensors close to each other: PS11 and PS12. Be sur to deal with the right sensor. This message is displayed because PS11 sensor is either dirty or out of service or the continuity between the sensor and the DCcontroller is cut or ,in an extreem case, the DC contrller is faulty.

I've had this happen twice before when the shutter assy knocked off sensor. This was a very time consuming repair .definatly need to have the manual to tell you how to take of toner hopper assy took me 4 hours 1st time many parts . Follow steps to the lettter

Thats right mate.. The best way to fix it is to remove the hopper assy, And when doing this u will be very surprised on how many sensors and loss toner is in there,
P.s u can try cleaning the right sensors by not pulling the hole hopper out But if u have a dirty sensor in there already u might as well pull the hole hopper out and clean everthing because more then like'y u will get other error codes relating to the hopper Assy soon..

guys very easy way to cut out alot of labour - remove print engine ,place on drop mat then turn upside you will then be able to access sensor very easily ,flip it out clean rest of print engine of loose toner replace sensor - job done probably 20 mins top........
