I have this canon IR2220I copier that is showing error 'E00602-0003'. Any time the error appears i use to go to service mode (HD-check) to clear the error. But of late, it has been too frequent and i need a solution of this problem. Do i need to perform the firmware upgrade (unfortunately i do not have) or do i need to replace the hard drive (also not available). I any one has a suggestion, please help.

I appears as if you do need to replace the hard drive, hd check can only be used so many times, which should have prompted you to order a new hard drive for replacement soon.
Part needed. New hard drive and reinstalled system software. -
thank you Mr linuxxpwin for the reply, I was thinking may be if one run the firmware upgrade, would the problem be fixed? Because i have never perform the firmware upgrade on this copier. if yes, can you please provide me with some information were to get the sst and the firmware for the IR2220I copier or were I can buy the HD. Our canon representative in the country did not have the HD as at now and when you ask them to order it it takes more that a month to get it.Comment

Canon is very protective of its' proprietary information. Only a Canon certified technician can get the sst program and firmware you're asking for. You need both to upgrade ANY HDD, old or new.
