IR C3200 - bad color registration

Came in today and the color is off registration. It was working great, checked lasers they were clean and they were in home position, transfer belt is clean and moving free, had new drum units about a month and a half ago. Machine only has 81k on it. Firmware is v90.03. Never seen this before.

    Example included...
And when I do the Auto Gradation Adjustment the colors are not lined straight with each other..

      Try to do a Clear

If you are a copier technician then you may have to go into service mode and dp a DC Controller clear. Before you do the clear you should do a P-PRINT

once your registration is off- auto gradation will never align

was that test sheet paper feed direction ?
        if so -power off printer>
unplug the Pattern Reading Assembly> power up printer> if u do not receive an error code>u need a new Pattern Reading Assembly

On the right side of the copier, just above the ITB assembly. It has the blue handle on it that you raise up to make ITB removal easier.

If this were not seated correctly, in theory it could skew the readings, the one time I had the rear of it not seated properly it actually errored out...

ITB looks ok??? Remove it and clean the black rubber rollers THOROUGHLY. Scrub them good. Toner gets embedded in them. Also check for a stiff turning secondary external transfer roll. Gotta be 100 other posts for this problem in the past. SEARCH

Stopped the copy just under the drums and it looks the same way. So it is not the fuser or the seconday transfer causing the problem. Put a new hard drive in the machine and loaded the software and I still get the same thing. Had put a new ITB in a few months back. Looked great one day and then the next like crap.

                    Main Scanning Direction-Correction
The Black pattern is used as the reference. The machine compares the length of the center
line of the Bk image position correction pattern (front) and the length of the center line of
the image position correction pattern (front) of individual colors, and identifies the difference
between the two as the degree of color displacement in main scanning direction.
When the machine detects color displacement, it corrects the timing at which the laser is
                    started in main scanning direction.
