[Misc] Does Canon IR 2525 support SSL Mail server?

Our company have mail server's configurations:
    smtp: abcd.com.vn
    port: 465
    SSL

Could I config Canon IR 2525 to send mail through this configurations?

    It's seem that doesn't work.

But if I use smtp yahoo server, on port 25, without SSL, it worked OK.
    Please help me.

Don't believe SSL is supported on this line. Basically, the iR25XX series is a beefed up fax machine. 512MB of memory total, maxed out! Has many limitations, but the customer gets what they pay for. An inexpensive machine, with limited functions.

Leave "Always use a secure connection (SSL) when sending mail" unchecked.

      or>>>>>>>>>>>
try setting the SMTP port number to 587 when sending email via Yahoo!'s SMTP server.

      or>>>>>>>>

      • Yahoo! Mail POP server: plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
      • POP port: 995
      • POP TLS/SSL: yes
      • POP user name: Your My Yahoo! ID
      • POP password: Your My Yahoo! password

      • Yahoo! Mail SMTP server: plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
      • SMTP port: 465
      • SMTP TLS/SSL: yes
      • SMTP user name: Your My Yahoo! ID

587 for TSL smtp server? I didn't try this port yet. All our email account use port 465 for SSL smtp outgoing server and 995 for SSL incoming pop server.

If I use yahoo smtp server, everything gone fine but the adcd smtp server using SSL (username: .... password:..... port 465 .... server abcd.com.vn).

Have you once in this situation teckat?

have heard of some success using port 587 for SMTP
              • For SMTP authentication and SSL encryption, use secure connection TLS or SSL "Always", or "Required"

If you have a client that gives you the choice between SSL and TLS, choose TLS. You want to use port 587 for SMTP. TLS is preferred .

Back to the original question - no, the iR2525 does not support SSL.

Thanks so much, but the IR 2525 does not support TSL or SSL, just standard.

This box does not support SSL at all. Confirmed by Canon ISG.
