This might work and would be easiest to try as its a 32 bit debian file.
Download the file and double click on it and the package installer should start and sort out the dependencies needed.
There's a couple of other downloads available on the Canon site, an RPM which will not work with Ubuntu and a tar.gz which will probably need compiling.
