    U can't clear check-type 4 on control panel-
    4: firmware, address book, filter storage area → no operation occurs (to
    initialize, use the SST)

    what printer model ???

    why are u doing HDD Checks ??
    what was your issue ?

    NG = means Hardware issue

        Ok different animal !!!
        - HD-CHECK
        If the power is cut while data is being written to the HDD, the occurrence of a write-suspended sector is a possibility.

        When HD-CHECK is run on such a sector, repairs will be made, but all data in the sector will be lost. A write suspended sector may be repaired only by HDD-CHECK (0); if not TYPE-TYPE=0, the task will be limited to an FS level check.

        If the write-suspended sector happens to be a critical sector that holds a control area, there is no way of repairing it; you will have to execute HDD formatting-and reload firmware

          It seems to be standard for type 4 and 6 to say NG.
          I tried it on two 6055's this morning and got the same result (NG).

          Teckat this is in relation to my e315--details in the relevant post.

              Normally I will change the HDD, and check the old HDD status later.
