Canon IRC2380 faulty touch screen

Hi Everyone
Hope so you can help me.
I've got a problem with a Canon IRc 2380 which has a faulty touchscreen. On the LCD display it has 2-3cm ( 1 inch) wide black strings in the lower part . these strings are horizontal.
The machine works properly, even the touchscreen is usable, just it has strings so the lower things( buttons on the screen) can not be seen.

what should I look for.

I've had this issue many of times. It looks like an old fuzzy television when it cannot find a signal right?

I normlly just replace the whole control panel assembly however I wonder if jumping JP1 will fix this issue, Teckat might be able to clarify.
