First >>Turn off the "Check for Dial Tone Before Sending" option on the imageRUNNER.

Then Ensure that the service data is set to match the country's domestic telecommunication standards in service mode.
Enter Service Mode : Fax > Type > Site Setting > (Your Country)

do a fax "All Clear" to restore the default settings and basic functionality
    Additional Functions / 28 / Additional functions / Fax / Clear / All / OK,

2] In addition to the All Clear you may try the following setting:
Additional Functions / 28 / Additional functions / Fax / Sssw / SW28 / change the first four bits on the right to "1's" [For example, SW28: 00001111].

    3] Restart the machine.

If it sends but will not pickup to receive,, sounds like the receive mode has been switched to Manual, and the copier has to be told to pick up the phone line from some operator panel button on the fax/send screen. Check your settings and make sure to set the receive to Automatic instead of Manual.

have you done a clear 'ALL' yet and re-entered the customers settings?

how many rings do u here ?
did u check to see if your AutoRX ring count is set at a high number ?? should be 2 or 4-

            it won't receive-RX when u send !
How about when someone else tries to send -either in your office or from another location ?

It just rings and rings it doesn't stop. See here the thing we send everything that comes into our warehouse overseas. And we pull and shred all Hard drives that come In. So I tested the fax with original hard drive and worked. I ordered another hard drive and put it in. I had an outside company that services them check out the machine and he upgraded the software on the machine before testing the fax. Would that have any issue with the fax.
