[Error Code] canon irc3080 error E0240-001

Hello wish the best for all friends. I am facing an error e0240 in irc3080. The machine get ready .but when i start for copy the paper from the tray comes and it stop before rgistration roller. Then error e0240 displyed. Can any one help me to solve this problem?

Check all connectors on main controller and DC.(reconnect all)

yes sir i checked all connectors on both main cont and dc cont. reconect once again all conectors.any next step from you?

Check mean use volt meter and find problem.

there is an error comunication bateween main control PCB and the DC control PCB,,
if it not solve try replace DC control PCB or main controll PCB

There's five ribbon cables that go between dc controller and DC DRIVER PCB ASS'Y check these

check your boot rom. we have had this issue in the past. Could also be an issue with either of your two sticks of RAM

your printer boots up & comes to ready
this is a Memory Issue/
remove clean ends/ re-seat - see what happens

replace if error issue returns
1GB SDRAM (standard); part number FM2-6209-000
512MB SDRAM (optional); part number FM2-6208-000

sorry for delaied replay.mr teckat, as you told ireplaced 1gb sd ram. there is no optional ram. and one more thing i foget to tell. that is when we start for copy on the display we can see the word PRINTING .the machine continusly run two minutes. after that the error e240 comes and immidiatly the machine reboots once again and get ready. the paper stop same place. after replace sd ram same happend. may be is it system soft ware corruption? what is your great advice?

What is the Firmware ver. ???
There were some e240 issues addressed in the past two ver's-

also see this pub TP07 -below-on your series model/it does not show 3080, but u fall in with the iR3380 Series.

error code above can be generated when a single pin of each Sub PCB is not properly mated with the slot on the main controller. Therefore, when multiple boards have poor connections different error codes may occur.

thanks to all. mr .teckat i follow all your instrections . your technical pdf notes verry nice. thank you verry much. finally the problem was solved by changing an another working main controller. i used all sub bcb which were used before .only changed main controller. now machine is ok. thank you for your kind helps.
