Hello everyone.
I'm having problems installing the firmware on my hdd and Ir4570 (E602-0002), I'm using the following versions: sst v.3.22E, firmware 37.01, hdd toshiba MK2023GAS - Hitachi HTS541020G9AT00.
Can anyone help me?

did you format those HDD's before writing to them? Also are you doing a full overwrite on the firmware you are installing?

in which manner? It has to be done through the SST or the firmware will not write correctly. The SST creates specific partitions for each model.

You cannot use sst v322 ,you must use high version sst for iR2270 to iR4570

You cannot use sst v322 ,you must use high version sst for iR2270 to iR4570

you can use 3.22 for the 4570 series. why do you think you need a higher version of SST for this model?

If a new HDD is installed with a Boot Rom version lower than v6.36,
the system software cannot be installed, and the Boot Rom cannot be upgraded.


do u know what version you Boot rom was before your e602 ????

You will need a Copier Boot Rom v6.36 or higher to format and install the System Software to the new HDD. The original Boot Rom [C or N] now can be upgraded, after flashing the System Software. Be sure the Boot Rom is model specific.
--Bring the original Boot Rom that is lower than v6.36 to a known working machine and flash it to v6.36 or higher. Install the Boot Rom back into the original machine, format and install the System software.

i agree what Mr teckat said, you need a Boot Rom version higher than v6.36, the error code become (E602-0001),
now you can install your hdd.

I disagree...I run 3.22 on a backup laptop for older machines and it shows the 4570 series...also installs the firmware on that series just fine. In fact 3.22 was released with firmware for the 4570 series machine back in 2006.

Everything look ok(rui,language,bootrom,etc) except the system file are missing.

System Software v37.01 for the imageRUNNER 2270/2870/3570/4570 Copiers

Service Support Tool v3.21Ee (or later) is REQUIRED for upgrading the imageRUNNER 2270/2870/3570/4570

and the imageRUNNER 2230/2830/3530 HDD Model. Service Support Tool v3.11Ed (or later) is REQUIRED
for upgrading the imageRUNNER 2230/2830/3530 ROM Model. Canon USA, Inc. recommends using the latest version, currently v3.22Ef.
