Moved IRC6870 - now getting color toner dots on prints

    hi

We moved a Canon IRC6870, on the journey across a paved carpark the copier got bounced around a bit. Powered on fine prints black page after page no problem, but on color print I am getting what looks like a splattering of dark toner on most pages

no yellow only dark, I have run the service mode clean routines, no improvement

question how do I manually tell the toners to rotate so I can make sure the cartridge is clean and the tubes are clean?

any other ideas , happy in a Xerox not so much in a canon

try to clean the primary corona assembly .restring corona wires if you can .if you still get those marks you might have to clean the whole processing unit where all the developer assembles and drum located

Yeah moving this unit in that way is a BAD IDEA!!!

You are going to have to crack the entire machine open to you can get the turret where the color developers are at. Check for broken contacts on the developers, drive gears and whole lot more. If I were you I would call someone who is actually trained on this product as Canon did a wonderful job of designing this machine to be a pain in the a$$ to work on.

Hope all turns out well....and good luck. you are going to need it!
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
