    IRA 8105 Error Code E05BA 8011 Finisher D! Urgent help needed

    I am getting the above error code, the customer placed a call because they were getting the message cannot use finisher, they could do straight forward copying/printing whereby paper would go through the machine and simply go into the finisher tray. Limited function had been enabled relating to a fault in the saddle sticher, once disabled and the machine restarted you would immediately get the error message.

    The Service manual says for this code:

    Error in the Rear Estrangement Motor (Finisher-D1) and possible remedy:

    1. The connector of the Rear Estrangement Motor HP Sensor
    (S104) or the Rear Estrangement Motor (M104) are
    disconnected.
    2. The wiring of the Rear Estrangement Motor HP Sensor
    (S104) or the Rear Estrangement Motor (M104) are faulty.
    3. The Rear Estrangement Motor HP Sensor (S104) is faulty.
    4. The Rear Estrangement Motor (M104) is faulty.
    5. The Trimmer Controller PCB (PCB1) is faulty.

    My question is where or what is the Estrangement motor, is it in the saddle sticher? I can only see S104 as a paper exit sensor and M104 as the paper exit drive motor and the manual is not the best. I cannot see any jammed paper in the finisher, I know I am probably missing the obvious here, I just need some help in the right direction on where to look.

    Many thanks

    Does this help with locating the motor. It is in the trimmer which sits in the booklet maker.

      MORE INFO:

      This error is generated by the Inner Trimmer-A1 that is installed inside the Booklet Finisher-A1.

      The error can be caused by faulty or disconnected rear estrangement motor HP Sensor (S104), or the rear estrangement motor (M104), or the Trimmer Controller PCB (PCB1).

      Replacing the Trimmer Controller PCB (PCB1) in the field has resolved the error code.

      S104 = WG8-5823-000
      M104 = FK2-8202-000
      PCB1 = FM4-0265-000

        Thanks Charm 5496, just found it. Didn't realise the trimmer A1 had its own seperate manual.

        It's just been one of those days :-)
