machine is good when ran correctly. easy to repair and easy to use. What price is the unit being sold at and what accessories does it come with?

so you are looking for operating cost then? Do you want it with or without parts cost included?

The cost seems fairly reasonable for the price. Hopefully it is in good shape and doesn't need any parts when you get it. You can get new and aftermarket toner for this device. I would stick with the OEM toner as you can run into problems with the aftermarket, but that is your decision. Check ebay as there are always toners for sale there or just do a search on google for the toner and you can find several companies that sell both the OEM and aftermarket.

Yes it is a very good machine.
We have 2 of those on 1.2 mil and kicking.

One of them doesn't even use original toner.
He buys toner from China (original toner from japan packed in plastic aluminium sealed bags).
I have seen it but I cannot tell the difference from the original one.
Anyway the customer is happy - I am happy - the Chinese guy is happy !!!

              to add a note>>>buyer beware

the rebuilt Fuser Units cost anywhere from 800.00 to 1,000 dollars
              new ones about 1,400.00

I have no idea of how much or how long. Personally I am against this solution, but the copier is not mine. So....

Your machine has a fuser unit , that is what compresses and heats the toner to the paper

You can not check something purchased on eBay, until u see it in front of you, and have a qualified trained tech inspect it.

don't believe everything you read on a product sight unseen

when u want to purchase a large printer, it is best to seek out a Canon Authorized re-seller or dealer- that way u can inspect the machine/ and see it in operation- get a working contract
