make sure the crossover cable and serial type cable are connected from the imagepass to the copier. This is where the two talk back and forth. Without that the please wait screen will never change states.

I fear that your 3200 does not have the serial type connector board installed in it to connect that cable as that board came with the image pass and was an option on the machine

Shut machine off and make sure RIP does not have any activity. If it is on then unlplug it. on the RIP make sure the corssover is plugged into the network port with the copier logo. Turn both the RIP and the machine on and give that RIP a good 6 minutes. The old C1's take a long time to boot up and you have to give it time. If it doesn't boot you might need a new HDD or have the system software reloaded on it.

the imagepass is a RIP (raster image processor)

Re: Canon c3200 and x3e-01 not able to connect to network

                you have a few options.

contact a local dealer to see what the cost will be. I would highly recommend this one and know of a reputable company in your area.
find someone either here or ebay to sell you what you need, this unit can be a little squirly and frustrating when diong it yourself
buy a preloaded HDD and slap it the imagepass.
or get in contact with a member on here who is close to you and see if they will come out and help you at a cheaper rate on the side.
