How do I use the Canon Copier's Secured Print function?
Let's Do It!
1.Open up a document you want to print, and go to the Print dialog. Usually this is by going to "File > Print..." in the menu bar. Make sure the copier is selected by using the drop down box as seen below.
2.Make any other changes you need to your print job. The copiers have lots of options that you can set by going into the "Properties" dialog.
3.Once you are done, click OK to print like you would usually.
4.A dialog will come up as illustrated below asking to confirm your password. You can also change the document name if you want. The username will default to your Windows username. Leave this the same.
Pick a numeric password. You can change it later if you forget.
5.Walk to the copier.
6.Important! If the copier you are printing to has the big fancy monitor, press the arrow on the top-right of the screen. If you are printing to the older copier in the press the "System Monitor" button on the bottom-right, and then press the "Printer" button.
7.You will then see a list of print jobs. Find yours by looking for your username and select it by touching it. It will turn blue, as seen in the photo below.
8.To print the job, touch the "Secured Print" Button on the bottom of the screen. Input the password you set when you printed the job, and the job will print.
